We grew up watching our mother and grandmothers light candles daily, be it during a Pooja, for a soothing fragrance, or simply to create a sense of comfort at home. As we grew older and moved across new homes, cities, and phases of life, lighting a candle became our quiet anchor. It reminded us of where we come from, the warmth of family, and the values that guide us, no matter the distance.
This deep-rooted love eventually evolved into Guru Om.
What began as a personal ritual turned into a passion for crafting blends and fragrances that remind us of home, faith, and cherished moments.
Inspired by our Guru, the name Guru Om embodies our philosophy—Gu (darkness) and Ru (light)—a journey from darkness into light. Om, the most sacred mantra, represents the soul, the self, and the infinite truth of the universe. Every candle we create reflects this belief: to guide you from dark moments into light. For us, that light comes from spiritual faith; for you, it might be a person, a ritual, a memory, or even a morning cup of chai. Whatever brings you comfort and clarity is your light.
Our all-black packaging, though unconventional, symbolizes strength, absorbing negativity and exuding confidence, while the candle within represents light and hope.
